Karen Degner Obituary, A Life Lived With Passion And Purpose Death
Karen Degner Obituary, Death – While being held in the arms of her daughter here on earth, Karen L. (Kebler) Degner, who was 71 years old at the time of her passing, went to paradise and was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly family on Friday, March 30, 2012. Bob and Evelyn (Werner) Kebler welcomed their daughter Karen into the world on April 1st, 1940.
During the month of August in 1958, she tied the knot with Kenneth C. Bahl. In the course of this union, Sandra M. Bahl-Degner came into being. The divorce took place in 1961. The following day, on August 18, 1962, Karen tied the knot with Ronald David Degner in Worland, Wyoming. Ronald adopted Sandra during this marriage, and the couple went on to have two children: Machell Sydney Degner, who was born on July 12, 1964, and Spencer Allan Degner, who was born on December 30, 1969.
Both of these children were a blessing to the family. The love that Karen and Ron had in their hearts was sufficient to be shared not only with their own children, but also with seventeen other children who were in their care as foster parents. Family was something that Karen and Ron placed a high value on, and they instilled in their children the importance of maintaining a close-knit family unit. Throughout her journey, she showed compassion for individuals who were in need and assisted a great number of strangers. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma. She was also a caring aunt. She served as a source of motivation for everyone who had the honor of getting to know her.
In addition to being a house mother in a group home, Karen worked as an activity director, a nutritionist, and a company owner alongside her husband, Ron. All of these occupations were performed while Karen was raising her family. Additionally, she participated in a wide range of other activities, including the Flower Garden Club, holding the position of a Tri-Chem dealer and 4-H Leader, crocheting, and fishing. She was a really good maker, and she once constructed a Barbie doll house for her girls.
She also made a cradle out of an oatmeal box, and she fashioned jewelry cases out of cigar boxes. Additionally, she crocheted blankets for all of her children and grandkids, as well as hats for babies at RAMC and hats for her doctor and his staff. She also contributed hats to RAMC. Karen is survived by her husband, Ron; her daughter, Sandy (Tim) Campbell; son, Spencer (Ann) Degner; son-in-law, Jim Den Hollander; her sisters, Ann (Rudy) Salazar and Judith Trobiani; brother, Corey Kebler; grandchildren, Joseph Quinn Jr., Jacob LaFoe, Dusty Campbell, Ashley (Adam) Schlicht; great-great grandchildren, Joseph Quinn III, Jack Quinn, Cole Quinn and Chloe Schlicht; her cousins, Linda Brauenert and Lois (Larry) Rose. Her stepmother, Leona Vawter, as well as her nieces Annette (Bill) Croy, Janine Farber, Pam Fehr, Vickey Hecht, Tracey Nuesbaum, Amanda Hopsecker, Heather, Ashley Smith, and Julie (Curt) Freng, as well as her nephews Rickey Noggle, Butch, Alan, J.J. Kebler, Kevin Schroeder, and Michael Smith, are among those who survive her. Her mother and father, her daughter Machell, her brother Terry Kebler, her sister Toni Powers, her stepfather Thomas Cutts, and her aunts and uncles all passed away before her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
